Afra Klarenbeek has worked as an NT2 teacher for some years now. Afra holds a Master’s degree in linguistics with a specialisation in language disorders. Her research focused on aphasia. Alongside her studies she worked as teacher of Dutch as a second language, a job she still very much enjoys.
Afra loves getting to know all of her students, whether that is through hearing their stories or sharing their joy as they improve their Dutch. She has the ability to connect to everyone in her class and ensures the atmosphere is always stress free and fun. But she also expects her students to put in the work. After all, learning a new language doesn’t just happen overnight.
When she is not working, Afra uses dancing as a way to clear her mind. She also enjoys embroidery and is currently working on the Night Watch!
