Bart van Aert is one of NedLes’ most enthusiastic teachers. Originally from the south of the Netherlands, Bart moved to Amsterdam in 2006 after falling in love with the vivacity of the city. He also has a soft spot for ‘la douce France’ with its beautiful language and delicious wines. His fondness for France led him to study French language and culture at the University of Amsterdam.
Bart has been teaching Dutch to speakers of other languages since 2013. He believes language learning doesn’t have to be boring. In fact, it should never be boring. It should be fun! His classes are filled with games, songs and interactive activities that bring the Dutch language to life. Bart’s approach is enjoyed by all and almost all of his students choose him as their teacher for their next course.
When he is not teaching, Bart enjoys, reading, cooking and exploring cities across Europe. He is also interested in learning new languages himself and is currently learning Spanish.
