Jelle Zoon was born and raised in Utrecht but has lived in Amsterdam since he was 19 years old. He studied Dutch and linguistics at the University of Amsterdam before training to become a teacher. Jelle wants his students to not only learn the language, but also have fun doing so. His style of teaching is personal and down to earth. Jelle is genuinely interested in his students. He is incredibly good at assessing a student’s abilities and interests and adjusting his lessons accordingly.
Jelle started his career in NT2 teaching in 2008. As a freelance teacher, he teaches adults at various language schools and colleges, including NedLes and the International School in Utrecht, where he teaches Dutch as a first and second language to children and adolescents. In his free time, Jelle enjoys going to the cinema and theatre, meeting up with family and friends, reading and playing hockey or squash.
