As a person I have always been a ‘talenmens (= language person)’: I love to learn other languages and I’m interested in how people say things in their own languages. What motivates me the most is to be in contact with people, especially with people from other countries and cultures. I’m always curious about their life stories.
As a teacher I emphasize a good atmosphere in my classes. We must be able to learn, but also make mistakes. We respect each other in this and sometimes we can even laugh over our mistakes. To explain the grammar is one of my most favourite activities, but I will also stimulate my students to use the grammar immediately. Furthermore I think pronounciation and intonation is important. I will always comment on that.
