Lishe Los

Lishe Los pursued various studies and has been a certified teacher of Dutch as a second language since 2014. Before starting a career in NT2 teaching, Lishe worked with immigrants as a volunteer teacher. She also worked as a legal assistant for Amnesty International and the Dutch Council for Refugees.

The thing Lishe most enjoys about teaching is the fact that no two days are the same. Every student and every level are different. The same goes for the topics she teaches. Lishe finds it important that her course materials are challenging and resonate with the students’ own experiences. She also teaches her students to reflect on their own work and development. Embracing strengths and positive reinforcement are key elements of her teaching style.

Lishe’s motto is learning should be fun. In order to truly understand the culture of a country and enjoy and live life to the fullest there, she believes it is essential to speak the language.
