Ever since I was young, I have been passionate about everything related to languages. I also knew very quickly that I wanted to work in education, so I first obtained a Master’s degree in Romance language and literature (French-Spanish) in combination with my pedagogical diploma. After years of teaching French and Spanish in Belgian secondary education (all levels, ages 15-18) and higher education (Professional Bachelor), I moved to France a few years ago (for love 😉 ). I was already tutoring Dutch and since I wanted to deepen my knowledge of NT2 education, I decided to get a Master’s degree in Dutch as well. Since I have lived here, I work almost exclusively in NT2 education, partly online and partly on location.
Teaching is my passion and that has never changed in all these years. It gives me energy and makes me happy! I find it very important to always create enough interaction, both online and offline, and to make sure that every student feels comfortable and dares to use the language in concrete situations. Daring to speak is very important to me, and I try to stimulate that during my lessons. I also like it when students start telling things themselves and I always try to respond to the different interests within the group.
In my spare time I enjoy sports (volleyball, jogging, catamaran sailing) and doing fun things with my 2 children aged 1 and 4.
